Tripe is the nutrient-rich stomach lining of grazing animals such as goats, sheep, and lambs. It has been enjoyed by dogs for generations because it is a natural, single-ingredient treat with a rich aroma and satisfying texture. "Is tripe safe for my dogs?"
Tripe can be a suitable option for many dogs because it is a single-ingredient treat with no added fillers or artificial ingredients. Every dog is unique, however, and sensitivities can vary. "Why do the PureTripe™ Stripes have different colours?"
Our one ingredient PurePet Co.™ treats don't use any bleach, artificial colours, fillers, or preservatives in any of our products, and use minimal processing, because we think it's important to know exactly what we're feeding our pets. Because of this, the colour, texture, size, and shape will vary from piece-to-piece due to natural differences.
"Why goat, sheep, and lamb?"
At PurePet Co.™, we use goat, sheep, and lamb, because they align with our commitment to simple, premium ingredients. Many available tripe products are processed differently. We prioritize taste and nutritional value over highly-processed, cheap treats.
"How much should I feed?"
As a Treat: Feed as an occasional reward based on your dog's size, age, and activity level. Treats should complement a complete and balanced diet and should not replace regular meals.
As a Meal Topper: Break or crumble the tripe over your dog's regular food to add variety and encourage picky eaters. Start with a small amount and adjust according to your dog's size and individual needs.
